Lettuce and Greens
One of the first crops of the Pick-Your-Own season are lettuce and greens. We have these crops in a high tunnel so they can be picked out of the wind or rain! You will quickly pick your baskets full! As with all of our crops, the weather and quantity of the crop will determine its availability.

Asparagus
Although our pick-your-own asparagus field is getting old, we still allow folks to harvest from about 2 acres that are close to them market. Our newer fields are away from the market and are only picked by our crew.
Asparagus season normally runs from the middle of April to the end of May. Be sure to sign up for our crop updates to find out when the season starts. If the entire field is picked for the day, don’t worry, we always have some on hand in the market, and it is the same price as PYO!

Peas
We grow both sugar snap peas and snow peas. These are usually ready in June. We sometimes offer our 1/2 and 1/2 special on the peas if the crop is good. With the 1/2 and 1/2 special, you will be able to pick, leave 1/2 with us, and the other 1/2 is free to you. Be sure to sign up for our crop updates to find out when this special is offered.

Potatoes
We grow many different varieties of potatoes, including Yukon Gold, Red Norland, Kennebec, Purple Majesty, French Fingerling, and many more! Potatoes are usually ready for harvest at the end of June or beginning of July. We offer Dig-Your-Own potatoes on all varieties we grow.

Green Beans
There is nothing like fresh green beans from the garden. Beans are usually harvested in July – it’s hot at this time so be sure to come in the morning and wear a hat!

Pumpkins
Don’t forget to Pick-Your-Own pumpkins from our pumpkin patch. We grow many specialty pumpkins along with our jack-o-lanterns. With so much variety, we’re sure you’ll find just the perfect pumpkin for you. Pumpkin picking starts the third weekend in September.

Sweet Potatoes
During Pumpkin season, we also offer Dig-Your-Own Sweet Potatoes. We have three varieties: Beauregard, the classic orange sweet potato, Murasaki, a Japanese sweet potato with purple skin and white flesh, and Bonita, a less sweet sweet potato with white skin and white flesh.

End of Season Picking
As the pumpkin season winds down and colder weather approaches, we often allow customers to do some end of season Pick-Your-Own on okra, hot and sweet peppers, and field tomatoes.

Directions and Parking
Parking is very convenient near the Country Market. On most weekends, there is a wagon ride to the field which is fun and convenient. Just hop on and off as you wish (but be sure it has stopped first). During the week, a short walk to the picking area is fun and easy. Picking baskets and bags are provided.
