2024 Holiday Open House

Open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day

Pep and Vasui along with everyone at BlueJacket helps to bring the cheer by offering wine tasting at the Open House!  Their award winning wines are just one of the reasons we call them great neighbors of the farm!

Maria Martin and Loreta Schmidt

Maria  and Loreta work together and will have a variety of creative items at our Holiday Open House.  They make English Toffe, Hand knitted hats and accessories, as well as eather adn beaded jewelry.

 

 

Wood Creations, LLC

Steve Erickson’s wookworking includes many games, toys, and ornaments.  He also makes interesting boxes that are great for keepsake containers, and tic-tac-toe boards.

 

Becky Fender is a wiz with crochet hooks and knitting needles!  Come see her beautiful scarves and hats at our Holiday Open House!
Although they have closed their farm, Jack and Kathy Wilson are still crafting items from the lavender they grow on their farm near Lone Star.  We are thrilled to be able to sell their inventory through our store, and hopefully they will stop by the Open House to visit.

 

Chestnut Charlie’s

Charlie Novogradic and Debbie Milks bring the reality of “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire” to to our Open House each year.

Serena Anderson

Serena is a seamstress that loves to make useful items for the home.  She will have Cozy Bowls and Hot Mats, Eye Glass Holders, Kitchen Boas and much more at our Holiday Open House.

Marcia and Galen have had a booth at most of our open house events. Baked goods, jams and jellies, lotions… you name it! They are sure to have a variety!

Paul Erickson makes colorful stained glass pieces and suncatchers.

 

Sherry Kay

Sherry Kay, Benjamin Sikes, and Caleb Morse have revised a new edition of “A Guide to Kansas Mushrooms.” This Guide is a must for any mushroom hunter or person interested in the mushrooms available here in Kansas.  A great gift for the hunter in your family!

From Tree to You

We’ve known Mike Erickson since college days (that’s a really long time)!  He can make about anything from wood.  We have several of his hand-turned containers in our house, including a bowl he made from a cedar tree taken down after the tornado 4 years ago.

Pinwheel Farm

Natalya has been breeding sheep for 27 years. She designs and crafts a wide range of artisanal products from their wool, including dryer balls, yarn, hats, half-mittens, catnip mice, and Mobius headbands…everything either the natural color of the animal or dyed with natural dyes! She also does natural dyed silk hair scrunchies and scarves, DIY kits, unique fiber crafting tools, and of course simply unspun wool!

Paintings by Mary

Mary Walthall specializes in handpainted trays, earrings and other items.  She works with her husband, Dustin, in making wooden flags and corn hole games.

Katie Whitenight

Katie makes some of the most fun pottery for the holidays.  Be sure to collect all the designs to make your talbe festive!

Anthony’s Beehive

Be sure to get some local honey from the Schwager family.  They keep some of their bees at our farm.  The bees help us with pollination, and bring more honey to you!

 Usborne Books

Our beautiful daughter-in-law, Laura, will be selling Usborne Books & More.  They have a wide variety of books for newborns through upper elementary. Laura will be at the farm Nov. 28 & 29 only.

Heartland Honey

Joli Winer and Cecil Sweeney will be at the Open Houses with their local honey, creamed and flavored honeys, comb honey, comb honey, and hot honey.  They have value added honey items that include lip balms, lotion bars, paw wax, bee’s wax candles and bar soaps.  They lead the NE Kansas Beekkeepers Association and have their demonstration hives here at Pendleton’s Country Market.

CG Design

Carol Gardinier brings the pen and ink drawings by of her father, Orrin M. Olson, whose work as a local artist spanned approximately a quarter century.His artwork is being offered once again for the first time as note cards. Carol makes a wide variety of bead ornaments and other goods that will make fantastic decorations and gifts.

Jet Produce and Meats

Jacob and his family farm are a local source for fresh produce and great tasting, pasture raised beef, pork, lamb, and chicken.  Make sure you check them out for your holiday meals. Online only.

Resurrected Woodworks

Resurrected Woodworks makes or resurrects functional art from locally sourced wood. Matt Rowen uses the word “resurrect” because most of the wood we use was
slated for the burn pile.

Joan Brunfeldt

Joan repurposes vintage linens into delightful pillows, sachets, and children’s clothing. She also creates whimsical matching aprons for both adults and kids. Her pieces are a lovely blend of history and charm, perfect for treasured heirlooms.

 Gayle Larkin

Gayle Larkin has lived in Lawrence since 1987.  In addition to Christmas ornaments and garland, she will also have beaded jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, and earrings made with gemstones, glass, and other media.

Stone and Sparrow Farm and Mill

Stone and Sparrow Farm and Mill is near Overbrook and has a variety of products available at our Open House that include: Stone Ground Turkey Wheat Flour, Spelt Flour, Farro Grande (Whole Spelt Berries), Spelt Gingerbread Pancake Mix, and Spelt Garlic Butter Biscuit Mix.

Pendleton’s Country Market

Of course we will have a wide selection of our dried flower arrangements and wreaths along with our fresh evergreen wreaths and poinsettias.  Check out our pickled and canned items, decorated gourds, and other holiday treats and crafts.

1st Weavers

Ninia Kinti-Moss has a hat for every occassion!  We’ve found so many gifts in her booth through the years!  Booties for babies to sweaters for granny!

We will have a great selection of poinsettias for our open house.  Sizes are 4 1/2″, 6″, and 8″.  The large 8′ pots are spectacular and should last well into the early 2025 months!

We have known Robbie for over 30 years and have many of her baskets. She has spent most falls demonstrating and making baskets at Silver Dollar City, and we are thrilled that she will be back at our Holiday Open House with her handmade baskets!
